Easter Weekend

We had a fabulous Easter weekend this year. It was full of events, and a few dates for me and Chad :) On Friday morning Oaklee had her preschool Easter Egg Hunt. It was POURING rain! But, rain or shine the Easter bunny still comes, so the hunt was on. It only lasted about 30 seconds, and then all of the kids tried to huddle under a little tent with the Easter Bunny while parents took pictures and got soaked :) The kids LOVED it!

Later that night my parents watched our girls and Chad and I went to the temple and did some sealings with David and Paige. The temple is always such a peaceful place to be. I can literally feel the burdens of life slip away while I am in there. It is a sanctuary! And, I love to hear the Sealer's speak and give us their insight on how our work affects people on the other side. It is such a wonderful feeling.

Saturday was completely booked. We started out the morning early with getting McKinzley's pictures taken in her baptism dress (pictures to come in another post). It was FREEZING, but she did so good! I love how they turned out, and you can't see any sign of her little accident :) After she hammed it up for the camera we headed home to my parents house for our annual Easter egg hunt. It was a little warmer outside by this time, and the kids had so much fun. Unfortunately Chad had a really bad headache, so he missed it, and I wasn't able to get very many pictures, but, it was fun nontheless.
Later that evening we met up with David and Paige, and Drew and Kirstin at Red Robin (Yum!) and then went to the movie Hanna. The food was delicious! The movie was............not so good. I'm just not really into all of that violence, and then not really having any closure, plus, most of the good guys died. We decided that next time the girls will pick the movie (maybe the next 10 times, just for good measure). Despite the movie not being so good, we enjoyed hanging out and laughing. It was so fun to get out and have adult conversation :)

That is pretty much our weekend in a nutshell... Here are a few pictures......
