Along The Same Lines.......

I found this little quote today, and it would have fit perfectly with my previous post.
So, I decided to share it.
It is completely how I feel right now in my life.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. Being alive is a gift, being happy is by choice.."

Are You Happy?

I just love this!
It is so true! If we want to be happy, then we need to figure out the things that make us happy and go for them! It is just a waste to sit and complain about the things that we have control over. I am going to really try and do the things that will make me and my family happier.
So, my new goal: BE HAPPY!

My shy little preschooler

BREXLYN IS IN PRESCHOOL!

Brexlyn started preschool this week, and she loves it!
I was nervous because she is a little shy, and I wanted her to enjoy herself.
I was sad for 2 reasons: 1) She is growing up too fast. 2) I didn't get to take her on her first day....I had school :(
BUT, she went in like a trooper, and had a ball!
I'm so excited for her to be able to have this exposure, and help her to come out of her little shell!

Bear World, Part II

We loved Bear World so much when Chad and I went, that we decided that we were going to plan a time to take the girls back.
For Chad's birthday, his brother Ryan gave him a coupon to get a carload into Bear World. This helped speed things up :)
We decided on Friday night that we were going to wake the girls up early and drive up to Bear World (4 hour drive) for the day. We figured we would drive up there, spend the day, and then drive home when it was bedtime so that the girls would sleep. We didn't tell the girls that we were going until we were in the car and on our way. They were SO excited!
We spent most of the day at Bear World, and then we went to some parks that we found in Rexburg to try and wear our girls out so that they would sleep on the drive home.
After we played for awhile, we went over to Chad's brother Ryan's in-laws house for a BBQ. It was delicious, and we are so thankful that they were willing to have us over!
We left right when it was bedtime, and we thought we were going to have a nice quiet ride home, but of course that didn't happen! The girls didn't fall asleep until almost 10pm, and then once they were asleep, Pemberlynn kept waking up crying because she couldn't get comfortable. Poor little thing :( Other than that, we had a FABULOUS trip!! It was nice to take a little family vacation in the middle of all that is going on in life right now. It felt good!! Here are a few pictures of our little jaunt.

We couldn't quite get them all looking at the same time :)

I thought this picture of Taylin was SO funny! I have no idea what she was doing.

First Day's

The first day of school is always an exciting day. New clothes, new teachers, new friends, meeting up with old friends, etc. The girls could hardly wait to get out of the house. McKinzley is now a 3rd grader, and excited to learn how to write in cursive. Taylin is a 2nd grader, and loves the monkey bars. And Oaklee is in Kindergarten. She is excited to just be able to go to the "big school". Here they are on their first day.

Taylin and McKinzley
Oaklee
Brexlyn and Pemberlynn (they didn't want to be left out of the picture taking fiasco :) )
Brexlyn starts preschool on Tuesday, and she can't wait!! For three days a week Pemberlynn will be the only child home. That will be interesting......:)
Cheers to a great school year!!!!
